Laura served on the House Corporation Board at the University of Idaho, Nu Chapter. Her older sister, also a Delta Gamma, now has a baby girl so needless to say, both Laura and Megan are excited for a DG Legacy! Vanessa served as the PR chair and vice president of programming for the San Francisco Alumnae chapter from 2006 to 2008, and as vice president of programming for the Sacramento Alumnae chapter from 2008 to 2011. Recently back from a year in Denver, Vanessa is ready to take on a new position. She looks forward to providing our chapter with one of the most significant and rewarding parts of being a Delta Gamma, volunteer opportunities to give back to our community. Vanessa is extremely excited to be back on the board and welcomes any opportunities or ideas to help with the chapter’s foundation.

By the light of Delta Gamma, we help others to see.

Sacramento Delta Gamma Alumnae chapter is looking for a webmaster to join our Board! Webmaster plays a critical role in keeping the chapter informed by keeping our website up to date. Our website helps members connect with each other, keeps everyone informed, and acts as a central location for all our information. It is an important tool for our chapter and we would love to make the most of it!

Webmaster Duties: In the simplest terms, Webmaster takes info from board meetings, e-newsletters, Facebook etc. to create content for the website. VP Communications collects the information for the e-newsletter and VP Membership posts information on Facebook – there is little need to worry about not having the information! We are looking for a member who would be PRO-ACTIVE about the duties of webmaster. We need her to automatically pull info and post to the website without other board members having to request.

IDEALLY, WE NEED SOMEONE IN THE POSITION WHO ENJOYS BLOGGING/WEBSITES AND WOULD MAKE THE MOST OF OUR WEBSITE!

We currently have a WordPress website, which is a very simple program to use. Although experience with WordPress or other another blogging program would be ideal, it is certainly not necessary because WordPress is easy to learn. We would like to have some more plug-ins and applications on the website.

Being on the Board: As our chapter’s Webmaster, you would be a member of the Board. Board members attend 3-4 board meetings per year to discuss plans for the chapter. Our President leads these meetings. Board members are also expected to act as ambassadors for the chapter and stay informed of the chapter’s activities. We also encourage them to attend as many events as possible.

The time commitment would really be whatever the candidate wanted it to be. We do the bare-minimum right now and it takes less than an hour a week. We’d love to make the most of our website, which would take more time, but maintenance is the key.

If you have any questions or are interested in the position, please contact Kelsey Follett, VP Membership at Kelsey@TwelveAnchors.com
