Delta Chi needs a New Recruitment Adviser!

Delta Chi needs a new recruitment adviser!

Description: the schedule is pretty flexible most of the year and involves planning a polished and successful recruitment with the vp: membership and director of recruitment records. The adviser must be able to attend all of formal recruitment, which occurs over a week in late September/early October. Basically, the adviser would need to either not work (recruitment is all day and into the wee hours as I am sure everyone remembers) or would need to take a few days off from work (like I do!).

It is highly recommended that the adviser have graduated from college at least three years ago and have some experience with collegiate recruitment (was vp: membership, was a recruitment adviser, etc.). I am happy to train anyone who doesn’t have prior “inside” recruitment experience; just be aware there is a lot going on behind the scenes!

If you are interested in helping out we’d be ever so grateful. Please message me through fb or email me at dgmichelle@gmail.com.

ITB,

Michelle Tajirian Shoffner

Crocker Art Museum Tour: April 3, 2012

When: Tuesday, April 3 2012
Time: 11:00 – 2:00

As part of our Continuing Education, one of our sisters has arranged for a docent-led tour at the Crocker Art Museum! On display will be art by Edgar Payne, Judy Chicago, and Gong Yuebin.

Our docent will be Jeffrey Grannette, a retired UCD professor, who believes that it is better to select museum highlights on which to concentrate, returning for work you didn’t have time to cover in your initial visit. He is an engaging, experienced docent who will enrich our Crocker experience.

Following the tour we can gather in the Crocker café area where there are prepared sandwiches and salads as well as made-to-order items on a frequently changing menu. Desserts are pricey but delightful!

RSVP: by March 15 to Sarah Taylor. The tours are designed for a minimum of 10 to maximum of 20 people so we MUST have a head count.

Cost: $8 per person

Parking: Meters adjacent to the park in front of the Crocker. Quarters or a parking card are needed; 25 cents for 12 minutes. Car pooling is encouraged.

There is a coat room with lockers (about 50 cents) and wheelchairs for those with mobility challenges.

Please contact Sarah Taylor with any questions or concern:
